LED’s Instead of Candles
Substitute candles in your pumpkin for LEDs or battery-operated candles to prevent fire hazards. These are much safer alternatives and look just like the real thing!
Make sure your home is well lit to ensure trick-or-treaters can easily see the path to your door. If you will not be home, turn off your lights to prevent others from approaching your property.
Keep Pets Inside
Halloween can be a frightful time for pets due to the commotion that comes along with the holiday. Keep your furry friend(s) indoors and calm to protect them and trick-or-treaters!

Plan a route in advance that is close to home, or in a familiar area. This will protect both parents and children. Always stick together in large groups if possible. If your child is trick-or-treating without you, attach their name, address, and phone number to their clothes!
Put Electronics Down
Keep all electronics away and get rid of any distractions so you can you concentrate on your surroundings. Make sure to cross the street at corners and check both ways before crossing the street.
